Santanyí (Santañí) is one of the most popular holiday municipalities in the south of Mallorca and, at the same time, one of the most rural. On one side there's the coast, with Cala d'Or, Portopetro and Cala Figuera, and on the other an inland area full of villas, fincas and country houses, often with no connection to the mains sewer.
