Palma is different from the rest of the island. Most of the city is on mains sewers, so the work here is mainly drain unblocking: in flats, residential blocks, restaurants, hotels and commercial premises. But on the outskirts and in the rural parts of the municipality there are many houses that still rely on a septic tank.
Blocked drains in Palma
Palma has many apartment buildings that have been in use for decades. The shared soil stacks and sewer pipes in these buildings build up grease, limescale and debris, and when they block, the problem isn't just one flat's: it affects every flat below. It's one of the most common call-outs in the city.
We also clear sinks, toilets and showers in flats, garage floor drains, inspection chambers in inner courtyards and drainage at commercial premises. With the jetting truck we clean the whole section, not just the point where the blockage is.
In the old town and in neighbourhoods with narrow streets such as Santa Catalina or es Puig de Sant Pere, the truck can't always get close. In those cases we park wherever we can and work with a long hose.

Septic tank emptying in Palma
It may not seem like it, but the municipality of Palma is large and has a lot of rural land. In the areas of scattered and country houses on the outskirts there are still homes that aren't connected to the network and have a septic tank or cesspit.
At these houses we empty the tank with our tanker and take the waste to an authorised treatment plant. We also empty domestic treatment plants and tanks at businesses located off the network, such as workshops or warehouses. We explain the types of tank and how often to empty them on our septic tank emptying page.

Service for hotels and restaurants in Palma
Palma is home to a large share of the island's hotels and restaurants, especially in the centre and along Platja de Palma. In a busy kitchen, the grease trap fills up quickly and, if it isn't cleaned, the grease ends up in the pipe.
We handle hospitality emergencies at any hour and carry out regular maintenance so they don't happen again. We invoice businesses. Find out more about our service for hotels and restaurants.
Frequently asked questions in Palma
Can you work in Palma's old town, with its narrow streets?
Yes. When we can't get the truck close, we leave it wherever it can stop and run a hose to the drain or inspection chamber. Tell us the street when you call.
Do you work with property managers in Palma?
Yes. We clear soil stacks and sewer pipes for residents' associations and invoice the association. We can arrange the visit directly with the property manager.
Are there houses with septic tanks in Palma?
Yes, more than you might think. In the rural areas and scattered housing of the municipality there are still many homes not connected to the sewer, and we empty them with our tanker.
